Push Back
A Pushback rack system lets you store pallets 2 to 5 deep on different lane levels, allowing easy access.
Each level in a Pushback system holds a series of nested rolling carts which operate in a lane that slopes upwards away from the pick face. Pallets are placed by forklift on the nested carts riding on inclined rails.
Each pallet is then pushed back by the next pallet loaded, exposing the next cart. When retrieving product from the system, the forklift takes out the front pallet which allows the pallets on the carts behind to roll gently to the front of the rack.
Benefits of A Pushback system:
Utilize your warehouse space by up to 90% more storage compared to a selective rack systems
Able to store a mixture of SKUs on multiple levels of lanes for easy access
Interlocking carts help reduce hazardous jamming and costly product damage
Allows faster pick rates due to high storage density paired with selectivity
Large target for loading and unloading
Total space utilization by filling the vertical cube
Last in, first out” inventory
Each level is independently accessible (unlike drive-in racks)
